GORGONEION RASH GUARD

The Gorgoneion was the representation of the head of one of the Gorgons. Particularly in Greece and Rome, this symbol essentially had an apotropaic function. Precisely because of this defensive power, it was used everywhere: in warfare, it was a crucial element, especially on the Aegis (the shield or breastplate), ensuring constant defense for the wearer.
